It’s all about MMU RC again..
Thaipusam Duty is an annual duty for MMU RC, as support team for Selangor Branch RC which in charge for first aid standby for the whole event. For sure, St John Ambulance are there as well, same goes to trainee from Masha College, Metropolitan etc etc.
Is not that good that Thaipusam celebrated before CNY, since members are grabbing time to go shopping actually. But thanks to them, there still 30 of them volunteer themselves for duty. Yet, all choose for night shift but I cannot do anything, cause I had promise earlier to leave them to choose for preferable shift.
I put myself on morning shift, since I felt that I not that good for night shift. I get Jeffrey to lead the night shift team, but badly he spin his leg day before the duty.. Then YuKiat will be my ideal candidates for the night, with the help of other committee members of MMU Cyberjaya Chapter.
Jeffrey was so bad, saying that he will go after persuade by ChinFon and the geng. Till the end, he leave them to go themselves, while we wasted about half hour to give way for him to change clothes.

Everything go smoothly, except SooYee fall down on the very first 30 minutes she on duty~><
Second team depart from MMU about 530am. Feel that it actually not much different with those who go for night shift, as I can’t sleep well at night also~

We reached there quite late, about 8.45am already (suppose to be there before 8am). Just can blame the train~ I quite confusing, not sure which one is the officer-in-charge there. Mingle around, then get someone I know, ask him, then get me to the correct person, then they send us to dark cave, which is our desired place for duty as well.
Dark Cave, for me, don’t have much case to do, but have more serious cases, compare to staircase which I duty last year.

Basically, we have to petrol around the cave, to identify is there any cases happen. Most the time, there will be dizziness, too tire etc etc only. Some time will get to serious case after handling wrongly (no offense). We been remind not to use stretcher to transfer the victims, as the place is too crowded, is hardly for us to move.

We were assign to carry the food from the main base up to the cave. Walking down and up… In between, we miss a special event~ stitch a wound on the spot.

We were there until 10pm++, due to lack of man power. We insist to go back as we scare there will be no train afterward.

Thaipusam duty let me learn a lot, and meeting new friends. I take off my rank during the duty, so that I can see more and observe more. People are really looking at the rank, and wanted to giving order when he realize your rank is lower than them. The fact, the experience of those people without rank might more and better than the one with rank, and I do witness it on that night. I wanted to laugh, but I can’t, since I didn’t have a rank in my uniform~LOL. Involve in volunteer organization, but not work with a volunteer heart, for me it is meaningless~
Enough, time to take a nap and go library to study before I being study~
