Today let me wrote something on recent RC activities of the unit I attach right now. It was a First Aid sharing in Tampin, Melaka + Hiking to Gunung Datuk + Hot Spring at Kampung Gadek.I am joining as a participants, not the one organize it. More enjoyment for me, at least I no need to run here and there for this and that~

We have a revision class for members before going~It nothing much, as most of the participants of this event are joining DRRO on last November. Only few new members we need to lead them more~

I was late on that morning, because of laziness actually, while knowing the fact that the bus will only depart after 10.30am.

Sleep all the way in the bus, but the person who sit next to me reading my book all the way. A little bit lost when we are looking for the school. Upon arrival, realize that we had to walk in to the school, deal to choosing the wrong way to go in by bus~

I am bit busy body~after having lunch, jump here and there for setting up the projector and speaker.. (suddenly become committee of equipment~) while waiting for extension..Snapped this photo.

Though there were 200++, but they were quite easy to be manage.. Newbie, and is uniform body~Not much disobey on order from their leader.

We start our session with introduction of us by KokHong, and introduction to First Aid by myself. Feeling quite piss off when I am talking, but there were no respone at all from them, though I predicted it before. Whatever it is, I still have to deliver the thing to them, as a very basic for it.

Go into group, teaching them transportation~Again, taking it as a easy task, and come out with different with what we taught~Repeated everything for four times, as we divide them to four group. First few group I still able to shout, later I was lazy to shout again, and just let them do what they want~><

We finish all the stuffs after CPR. CPR=人工呼吸？That’s the answer they give us when being ask what is CPR. Hope they understand after all.

Basically, we have nothing to do after the First Aid session. Mingle around, snap some photos.. See what I snap~

Suddenly someone come out with idea to do a case, fainted to them. Casualty: Ivan Lim, and we will ignore him to dance. Awesome school kids just take it as a game, and playing around with him. Perform CPR on a alive man, nearly send him to heaven~ I wanted to kick off that fella, some how someone come and catch me from go across him. I wanted to shout, how dare you to stop me, who is more qualified now!! Pity him, being compress 3 times on the stomach, and mouth to mouth ventilation. Never taking serious, and never follow the correct step being teach~Haiz

We have dinner and closing ceremony afterward. Mr Chan was coming all the way from Melaka to attend the closing. I never see him after last year AGM~

Ending of the closing, follow by dance and crazy stuff again~run here and there, big circle, small circle~I felt that I was in the school time again, and surprise to see that most of our members who are quiet in most situation can play up to that level~It end when ChenHow showing his power in the troop, scolding and punish his member because of throwing a bottle while dance~Impress with their discipline, their loyalty and obeying their leader~

Midnight, we walked to a shop to have satay. Being told that, we have to DIY for the satay~But some how we are lazy, and just let them to do it for us. Spend about RM5.70 every people that night~

The next day, we continue our journey to Gunung Datuk~Firstly I thought it just a normal mountain, nothing much to be worry~reaching there~OMG, it’s not as easy as I thought~It was steep~Some of us not able to reach the top~

Normally, I will either be the first or be the last of a team~This time I choose to be the last, since I not familiar with it. It took me around 2 hours++ to reach the top because need to make sure I am the last one among all. Reaching top, it was totally different with what we have down there. It like a little KK mount.

Coming down for the mountain is rather tiring, I knew this lesson after climbing KK Mountain, so this time around I take a smart step when come down. I successfully avoid knee pain on the next day, but my hip was~~ >< I don’t know who, have to figure out next time. Again, I am the last~

Initial plan, we have hot spring in Kampung Gadek. But most of us were tire, some more the weather was very hot, make some of us feel don’t want to go for hot spring~But, we were coming all the way from Cyberjaya, is not worth if not go for it~At the end, everyone was go in and dip in either leg or body.

For pass few years, this unit had Orphanage Home visit, and bring those kids with us for outing. Last year was KL Bird Park. This year I suggested, why don’t we have more activities to bind our members, yet it ends up with different solution–social contribution to share our first aid knowledge with Secondary School students. Initially, I about to object the execution of this activity, cause it seem not so related to a social contribution. Yet, after taking some breath, I was thinking, why don’t try something new, and don’t just push off a new idea from members. Some how there are things that I cannot share here, is enough I understand it.Firstly, we being told that we will sharing the knowledge, I thought there only 40-50 people of them. Few days before the open semester, only get to know that there will be 200++ of them, while 30-40 of us. Curious, suspect, in-confident filled my heart. I manage to face 50-100 people, but not 200++. But there was no space for us to withdraw from the event, then we can only go on for it. First problem I am thinking of was are we qualified to delivered all the knowledge in the correct way? Secondly, can we control all the participants? Thirdly, will we be accuse for step in other people place? Throw it aside, and give a try~

After the event, I realize, my worries are wasted. Understand some new values: We will become better when we face with extreme situation. I can see the changes in some of the members. It’s time to open up, and let other do it, and we just observe from far, and guide if and only if there is a need. Don’t keep it all ourselves, we are not superman/superwomen. A biggest weakness of mine, which need to be corrected.
